Strawberry Guava Jelly

5 1/2 cups strawberry guava juice
8 cups sugar
1 box powdered fruit pectin (2 oz)
1 tsp butter
4 jars, 1 pint each, with lids and bands
1 extra jar

To prepare juice, place about three pounds of strawberry guava in a steam juicer and steam for about 90 minutes. Pour off juice and discard skins and seeds. Add water if needed to make 5 1/2 cups

Measure sugar and set aside. In a large pot, mix lilikoi juice and powdered fruit pectin. Add butter. Bring to a full boil. Add sugar. Return to a full boil and cook for 1 minute (or according to directions on the powdered fruit pectin package). Skim off any foam and ladle into jars. Process jars in a hot water bath for five minutes at sea level.
