Sweet Potatoes and Pecans

A simple and delicious way to prepare sweet potatoes for a holiday meal

  • 6 medium sweet potatoes
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup pecans

Peel the sweet potatoes and slice in 1/2 inch thick slices. Arrange in a baking dish. Sprinkle pecans on top. Melt the butter and brown sugar together in a small saucepan or in the microwave. Pour over the sweet potatoes in the dish. Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until potatoes are tender.
