Meatballs
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/3 c steak sauce
1 c crushed crackers
1 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1 1/2 lb ground beef
Subs
6-7 split sandwich rolls
6-7 Tbsp mayonnaise
sliced provolone cheese
14 oz pizza sauce
8 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees F. Mix first six meatball ingredients together, then stir into ground beef. Shape into 1 1/2″ balls. Place on a greased rack in a foil-lined 15x10x1″ baking pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes, then drain on paper towels. Leave oven on!
Open rolls and spread with mayo, then arrange them on a baking sheet. When meatballs are cooked and drained, place them on the rolls and cover with sauce and cheeses. Bake for 5-10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Yield: 6-8 servings
Time to make: 45 minutes
