Grandma Packard often made this syrup to top her delicious waffles!
1 qt light corn syrup
2 cups dark brown sugar
1 cup water
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp maple flavoring
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
Mix corn syrup, brown sugar, and water in a saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil. Boil for 10 minutes, then cool slightly before adding remaining ingredients.
