Dry Ingredients
1½ C flour
½ C sugar
1 Tbsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
Wet Ingredients
¾ C milk
3 Tbsp oil
½ Tbsp vanilla
Additional Ingredients
1½ C chopped nuts (optional)
1½ C brown sugar
1/4 C butter, separated into small dabs
3 C hot milk
Pre-heat oven to 325°F.
Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Add wet ingredients and stir with a fork until smooth. Add nuts if desired.
Pour into an ungreased pan and spread evenly. Sprinkle with brown sugar (and nuts) and dot with butter. Pour hot milk over batter. Place pan on cookie sheet in center of oven. Bake for 40 minutes. Let stand for 15 minutes before serving. Serve with ice cream!
