Sauce
2 cup boiling water
1 cup sugar
3 tbsp cornstarch
¼ lb butter
Veggies
6-8 yams
6+ apples (I prefer jonathan)
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F.
Dissolve sugar and corn starch in boiling water over stove, cooking until liquid is clear. Add butter and blend until smooth.
Boil yams, then cool, peel, and slice to ½ inch slices. Core, peel, and slice apples. Layer yams and apples until casserole dish is nearly full. Pour sauce over them.
Cook covered for 1 hour. Cover with marshmallows and cook until just browned.
