Raisin Cake

1 1/2 – 2 c raisins
1/2 c butter
2 c water, divided
1 c sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cloves
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp allspice
2 1/2 c flour
3 Tbsp cocoa
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
3/4 c nuts
3/4 c chocolate chips
3/4 c brown sugar

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F.

Boil raisins, butter, sugar, and 1 cup of water in a saucepan for five minutes. Add remaining water, spices, flour, cocoa, soda, and powder. Pour dough into cake pan and top with nuts, chocolate chips, and brown sugar. Bake for 40 minutes.
